I realized I can always determine if a wedding is really going to take place on a TV show by the respect they show for the dress. If the bride doesn’t turn and strings immediately assault your ears, and your first thought isn’t “oh my god, I didn’t even know the actress could look that good” then you’re not getting a wedding. You’re getting a wedding fake out.
There’s a goddamn bow on the back. It’s just not the best dress.
Is it a pretty dress? Sure. But Rachel Bloom is hot as hell, and this dress is the idea of a wedding dress. Not THE wedding dress.
In conclusion to my fool proof theory I present the standard by which I judge all sitcoms, Friends.
