I finished the right panel, (front panel 1) and made updates on that post. Turns out when I thought I counted wrong earlier, I just wrote the row numbers incorrectly. I discovered this when I somehow inexplicably made the same mistake on the second panel!

Then I realized this is because I haven’t been able to count for months. Apparently, I’ve been forgetting to count the ribbing rows this whole time. Darn it! I went back and fixed my back panel pattern too.

I am grateful I wrote this post earlier about counting the moss stitch, because it kept me honest in my row counting, even if it took me a while to take my own advice.

Pattern for front panel 2 (left):

Cable cast on 52 stitches.

Rows 1-18: K2, P2

Row 19: *K1 P1; Repeat from * 4 times; k2tog, *P1, K1; Repeat from * 4 times; p2tog, *K1, P1; Repeat from * 3 times; k2tog; *P1, K1 Repeat from * 4 times; p2tog; *K1, P1 Repeat from * 3 times; k2tog; *P1, K1; Repeat from * 3 times. 47 stitches.

Row 20-72: Continue in moss stitch. End every right side row with a knit stitch and start every wrong side row with a knit stitch to create a selvedge. I put in a colorful stitch marker to remind me which side will need this edging.

#PennyDreadfulKAL Goals:

I came to a realization I didn’t particular like this week – I’m shocked at how flippin’ hard this is for me to do! So I’m calling in the cavalry: I’m meeting with my knitting teacher, Pat Sylvester, next weekend and we’re going to figure out the sleeve pattern!
